What Is the Engine for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class?
The 2022 model year Mercedes-Benz E-Class has two engine options. A 2.0L inline-four turbo is standard for the E 350 Sedan and E 350 4MATIC®. Both the E 450 4MATIC® and the AMG E 53 are powered by a 3.0L inline-6 turbo engine with EQ boost.
What Are the Differences Between Mercedes-Benz C-Class and E-Class Sedans?
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a midsize luxury sedan while the C-Class is a compact four-door coupe. Like the E-Class, a C-Class is available as a sedan, coupe, and cabriolet, but doesn't offer the wagon body style that's available with the E-Class. A Mercedes-AMG® variant is available for the E-Class but not for the C-Class.
Standard equipment on both models includes the 255-horsepower 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and RWD. Both have available AWD.
All 2022 model year C-Class C 300s are fitted with mild-hybrid drive, whereas, in the E-Class, the mild-hybrid drive starts at the E 450 trim level.
Many of the features that come standard in an E-Class are optional add-ons at the C-Class level, such as MB navigation, LED exterior lighting, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen and digital instrument cluster.
The E-Class also offers several luxury packages not available with a C-Class, such as the Warmth & Comfort Package, which includes a rapid heating feature for front seats, heated front armrests, heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats.
